OnePlus recently announced that OnePlus 5T has been their fastest selling smartphone. The news was confirmed by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei on the forum. However, no number has been disclosed by the company. Pei also informed that they are working on updates to the OnePlus 5T camera and will release the update, which includes various camera improvements, soon.

Pei informed that OnePlus 5T has exceeded previous records in terms of sales and confirmed that the new update will bring some improvements to the OnePlus 5T camera.

The OnePlus 5T had an early access sale on November 21 but only for the limited customers including Amazon Prime customers. A second early access sale for the smartphone will start today, though officially the sale was supposed to start from November 28.

Pei also informed that the company has been receiving a lot of praise around the build quality, new screen and Dash Charging feature due to which the company will be making some tweaks to the camera.

The company will be working on OnePlus 5T’s camera tweaks including low-light photography, selfie details and natural exposures and is expected to add Beautification mode to all markets. The company will start teasing the updates with a private group from the next week while the final update will be rolled out to most users in December.

OnePlus 5T Specifications

The OnePlus 5T features a 6-inch Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an 18:9 display. The display comes with very thin bezels on each side and there is no home button either. The fingerprint sensor has been placed at the back of the phone. The phone also allows Face unlock feature.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest offering Snapdragon 835 SoC that is aided by a 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The internal storage offered by the device is 64GB and 128GB that cannot be further expanded.

In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 5T comes with a dual camera setup on the rear with a 16MP wide-angle lens and a 20MP telephoto lens. Both the camera sensors feature an incredible f/1.7 aperture. The device is priced at Rs 32,999 for 6GB RAM/64GB storage and Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant.
