Google is ready to take Cupertino giant Apple by developing its own chips for high-end smartphones and that is why its parent company Alphabet has recently closed a $1.1 billion deal with HTC Corp. Under this deal, 2000 smartphone engineers will come under one roof to help Google manufacture three or four Pixel handsets, which will compete Apple’s iPhone. Speculations are the design of new Pixel phones could be similar to the iPhones.

Although it seems to be a great step from the tech giant Google, still it is speculated that the pixel series manufactured under this might not be available at an affordable price range. Nonetheless, users may expect these flagship devices packed with some powerful features.

Furthermore, if some reports of the Livemint are to be believed, the American Multinational technology company plans to expand the research and marketing, thereby making more deals like this with other phone carriers and retailers. This will also help Google to enter into new markets. However, the sales will remain limited to the nine countries such as the US, Germany and Singapore.

This step is the disheartening result of Pixel the sales figure, which were substantially lower in comparison to that of Apple’s. If one may recall, Google in its Pixel 2 model used its custom chip for the camera, which definitely improved the camera performance with the new image processor. Interestingly, many believe that if Google starts manufacturing its own system chips, then this could create trouble for other suppliers and they might go out of business. This means that Apple could face a hard time too. It all depends how much impact Google’s manufactured chips could create in the market, as it is not that easy as it seems. It is a well-known fact that Apple’s hardware and software are difficult to beat. As of now, users may expect for the best, as Google’s own in-house built chip would certainly give them a better experience.
