Samsung is not wasting any time in unveiling Android 8.0 Oreo update for some of its devices. As of now, it’s already clear that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have received the beta version and by February these devices will also be getting the Oreo treat. Now, a new twist has come up in this story with the information revealed by a Reddit user that Galaxy S6 is also going to receive the Android Oreo update. At this point, it is important to recall that the South Korean company has already confirmed the Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 duo.
The Oreo could be the last major Android Operating System update on Samsung Galaxy S6. A Reddit user when shared some screenshots, then this buzz emerged online and since then is making rounds in the smartphone world. Although, the news seems to be odd, as this is not a trend in the market that a smartphone tech giant will be introducing a new update to a handset, which is three years old. It is only Google that keeps its old models updated. If this piece of information turns to be true, then definitely it will be motivating for the users.
It is not the first time that any such news has surfaced online. In fact, two months back in November 2017, another Reddit user had received the similar information from a Samsung representative regarding the Oreo update for the Galaxy S6. The screenshots posted by him also revealed the same information. Hence, one can remain positive, as not much time is left in February to come. Samsung is not going to let this year pass quietly. On a regular basis, some of the other buzz related to its upcoming products is making the headline. The foldable smartphone that is expected to be launched by the next year is also believed to be secretly released in front of clients at CES, 2018.
