HMD Global-owned Nokia launched its flagship smartphone, Nokia 8 last month and now the company has announced the Android Oreo update for the phone through OTA. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer, HMD Global revealed the information via tweet that the company will start rolling out the OS update from today itself. The Android Oreo beta build was released for Nokia 8 by the company last month and now the stable ROM has been released globally.

As promised by the HMD Global, all other Nokia phones including Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 will also receive the Android Oreo update in future along with the Android P update.
Nokia 8 Specifications
The Nokia 8 features a 5.3-inch QHD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels protected by 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (4 Kyro cores clocked at 2.5GHz and 4 Kyro cores clocked at 1.8GHz). The Processor is aided by 4GB of RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. The phone is IP54 certified splash resistance.
In terms of optics, the Nokia 8 sports two 13MP camera sensors on the Rear with one RGB sensor and another monochrome sensor that feature optical image stabilization (OIS). Both the camera sensors have an aperture of f/2.0 and come with phase detection autofocus and dual tone LED flash.
There is also an 13MP camera sensor that has an aperture of f/2.0 and wide-angle lens. The Nokia 8 comes with Bothie mode which is one of the standout feature of the smartphone that allows users to take photograph using both front and rear camera simultaneously.
The device offers 64GB of internal storage that can further be expanded up to 256Gb with the help of a microSD card.
The phone is optimised for one-touch live streaming via Facebook Live and YouTube Live. It also comes with OZO Audio tech for spatial 360-degree audio recording that comes with Audio Focus mode.
On connectivity front, there are hybrid dual-SIM configuration, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 801.11ac, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is backed by a 3090mAh battery that features fast charging.
