Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Coolpad is all set to launch its new flagship device, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 in India, today. The company first launched the device in China in May this year and a launch event will take place in Dubai at 9:00 pm IST. Sadly, however, there isn’t a live stream of the event
The Cool Play 6 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 SoC with Adreno 510 GPU and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. In terms of optics, there is a dual rear camera setup with two 13MP sensors for depth-of-field and monochrome functionalities. There is also an 8MP front selfie shooter. To back all this, there is a 4,060mAh battery, which promises to deliver a whopping 252-hour standby, 9 hours of internet browsing and 6 hours of extreme gaming.
The biggest standout feature of the Coolpad Cool Play 6 is the dual camera setup. The dual camera will allow users to shoot pictures in ‘bokeh’ mode, providing a professional look to their portraits. The camera is also capable of shooting slow motion videos, mono photo, long exposure and a lot more.
The Type-C charging port sits at the bottom along with dual stereo speakers. The power button is on the right along with volume rocker keys. The 3.5-mm headset jack is located on top of the phone.

1 days agoOn basis of the specifications, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 appears to be an interesting smartphone. In China, it costs CNY 1,499 which roughly around Rs 14,000. That is quite a price tag, however, the official India price is yet to be announced. Considering the fact if the Coolpad Cool Play 6 launches at this price tag, it would be an absolute value-for-money offering in the country.
