The Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi is all set to launch its new budget smartphone 5A today at Beijing, China at 7:30 PM (5 PM in India). As per the Chinese site, TENAA, the Note 5A will be offered in two variants, Redmi Note 5A Pro and Redmi Note 5A Prime. The Redmi Note Note 5A Pro will be offered with a fingerprint scanner while the Redmi Note 5A Prime won’t have it.
TENAA has listed most of the smartphone’s features already. According to it, the Redmi Note 5A will have a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The smartphone will run on a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset along with a 2GB RAM. Speaking about storage capacity, both the Note 5A phone variants will be available with 16GB internal memory which can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. Lei Jun, Xiaomi-CEO stated that this would be the first Xiaomi Dual-SIM device which has a separate space for expandable storage.
The Redmi Note 5A would be equipped with 13MP rear and 5MP front-selfie cameras. The 150 gms weighing smartphone is said to be of 153.3×76.3×7.31mm dimensions. This device would be powered by a decent 3,000mAh battery. Along with being run on Android 7.1 Nougat, it could also have the new MIUI 9 for a better user experience.
