New Variant Of Xiaomi Redmi 4A Launched In India, Features 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage

After the super success of Xiaomi Redmi 4A, the well-known Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has
launched a new avatar of Redmi 4A in India. The major USP of the new variant is its additional RAM and storage against the former handset. Priced at INR 6999, the latest Redmi 4A packed with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage will go on sale from August 31, 2017. In addition to Mi.com, the star budget smartphone can also be purchased (from Thursday onwards) from Amazon India, Flipkart, Paytm and Tata CliQ.

A day before the unveiling, Mr. Manu Kumar Jain, VP at Xiaomi and MD at Xiaomi India, shared a tweet stating, “Surprise! We are launching a new variant of Redmi 4A (3GB RAM + 32GB flash memory) at an amazing price of INR 6,999.” The initial version of Xiaomi Redmi 4A was introduced in India in March 2017 at an incredible price of INR 5,999. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A was powered by a 2GB RAM support and 16GB storage.

The Redmi 4A features polycarbonate body and a hybrid dual-SIM card slot, alongside runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Its 5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC, which is mated with the Adreno 308 GPU. It sports a 13MP sensor with PDAF, a 5-lens system, a f/2.2 aperture and is supported by a LED flash. Furthermore, on board it features a 5MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, while Redmi 4A’s internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the connectivity aspect, Redmi 4A include attributes like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.1. Accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity join the list of on board sensors on the smartphone. Powered by a 3120mAh battery, with fast charging support, the new Xiaomi smartphone measures 139.5 x 70.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 131.5 grams.
