Notably, while Note 8 features bezel-less display along with the two upcoming flagships that are also expected to feature a bezel-less design, Google will stick to keeping bezel for the new Pixel devices. The Pixel 2 is speculated to feature a squeezable frame similar to the HTC U11, and will be running on Android 8.0.1 Oreo, which is expected since the Pixel smartphones are among the first to receive latest Android versions.
Furthermore, the Pixel 2 is expected to come in 64GB and 128GB of in-built storage variants and support NFC, Bluetooth and 802.11ac Wi-Fi along with 4GB of RAM. The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are speculated to feature a 4.95-inch Full-HD and a 5.99-inch Quad-HD display. Both the devices are expected to drop the 3.5mm headphone jack.
It was also reported that Google is expected to be working on the new Chromebook Pixel, mini version of Google Home and Google Assistant-powered Headphones. The smaller version of Google Home is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo Dot, while the speculated Chromebook Pixel will compete with Apple Mac and Microsoft’s Surface. There are no further inputs regarding these devices, except for the fact that these devices are tipped to be released in Google’s upcoming hardware event in October.
