Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched a four camera smartphone in India today at an event in New Delhi. The Honor 9i looks identical to the Huawei Maimang 6 launched in China last month and Huawei Nova 2i launched in Malaysia. The device features a FullView display and will go on sale starting from October 14.

Price And Availability

The Honor 9i has been priced at a price of Rs 17,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The smartphone will go on sale from October 14. There are three colour variants of the device including Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue and Graphite Black.

Honor 9i Specifications

The Honor 9i features a 5.9-inch FHD+ display and comes with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone comes with a FullView display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36GHz. The device offers 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 64GB. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat atop Huawei’s EMUI5.1.

Rear Camera

The Honor 9i sports a dual camera setup on the rear with a 16-megapixel sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel sensor. Featuring a dual-camera setup, the device is capable of shooting Bokeh portraits along with loads of hefty features. The camera on the device lets you adjust the focus even after capturing the photograph, a feature seen in Huawei Honor 8 Pro, and also lets you choose from different Bokeh effect,

Front Camera

The biggest highlight of the device is that it features a dual camera setup on the rear as well as on the front. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel camera sensor that allows you to capture selfies and portraits in Bokeh mode.

Other Specifications

The device comes with some gesture-based shortcuts like ‘draw an S’ for a long shortcut for capturing the entire webpage, tap twice with one finger to take a screenshot and tap twice with two fingers to start screen recording.

All of this is backed by a 3340mAh battery that company claims can provide a standby time of 2 days.
