- The camera design of P20 to be named ProTriple-lens design
- In total the three cameras will have an output of 40MP
- The cameras will also support five times Hybrid zoom with a new AI photo assistant
After the Mate series execution, P series is the new product chain from Huawei. It is evident now that Huawei is all set to market its next P-series flagship device as P20 and the renders of this P20 has been leaked. The renders that have surfaced online shows the smartphone accompanied by the triple-rear cameras. It’s not the first time that the company has come up with innovation at the photography end. In the past as well, Huawei introduced the dual-rear camera setup, which was co-engineered with Leica in P8 and P9. Hence, this innovation of three-rear cameras is not much of a surprise.
Interestingly, the leaks show that the triple cameras are aligned horizontally and are named ProTriple-lens design with a tilt to the top left corner of the rear device panel. Furthermore, the three cameras can be expected to carry a total output of 40MP. Strikingly, the cameras will have a five times Hybrid zoom with a new AI photo support.
This placement of cameras differs from the earlier leaked schematics. The leaks of P20 Plus and P20 Pro variants came out earlier indicates the three cameras being placed in a different position. Nonetheless, the P20 will have a full-screen design and might sport a display of almost bezel-less similar the Mate 10 series.

24 days agoThe P20 is also rumored to be powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone might have a 3600mAh battery support and the 3.5mm audio jack. The release of P20 is expected to be in February at MWC 2018. The screen-to-body ratio of P20 is quite high while the bezels on the chins are narrow. The home button will be doubled as a fingerprint sensor and will be placed underneath the display in the front, which will be similar to the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Only time will show how far these leaks turn to be true.
