Google launched its 8th version of Android, Android Oreo just when the Moon was framing a complete solar eclipse in New York city. This android 8.0 has brought numerous new features and improvements to its predecessor Android Nougat, along. Google has also issued an update of Android Oreo for its compatible devices, Google Pixel and Google Nexus.
This new updated 8.0 version of Android has been packed with amazing new features as limiting and minimising the background activities based on priorities. This also enhances the battery life of the smartphone. The booting time has been minimised and is now exactly the half of the previous version.
Google has introduced a quick auto-fill feature which would help you login to your favorite applications within just fraction of seconds. Along with all these updates, it allows multitasking on the same screen, notification dots for getting notified in a new fashion, Google Play Protect to keep the smartphone safe from harmful apps and is installed with a new set of Emojis.
Now, let’s see what all devices fall under the category of ‘being compatible for Android 8.0 Oreo’. As usual, Google has first made the update ready for its own devices and then would push the update under process for other brand smartphones. So for now, the devices that can be updated to Android Oreo are Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Google PIxel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Nexus Player.
It would take a few months for Google to create updates for other manufacturers because of OEMs having their own UI and customizations. Nokia 3, 5, 6, 8 LG G6, HTC U11, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus are the smartphones which would be able to taste the Oreo after Google’s own smartphone series.
