Although, Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 are now not available in India, still it will be pleasing for users to know that both the smartphones are at last going to be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo just like Nokia 8 flagship phone, which was unveiled by HMD Global about two months back in 2017. This announcement by Finnish company via the official Weibo account has made it clear that the next generation smartphone Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 7 will be getting a new addition in their feature with Android 8.0 Oreo.
Both the devices were released in China back in October 2017. At that time only, it was expected to be accompanied by the beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo, but then HMD Global skipped it and launched the phone with Android v7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system. Now, the company has changed its mind and is ready to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for both the handsets. Interestingly, this news comes at a time when Nokia 7 is rumored to get launched in India by the end of this month. Hence, this is a good news for the Indian users.
If users may recall that the smartphone Nokia 7, which was unveiled in China, carries some intriguing features such as the glass chassis. This is the first HMD Global device to be accompanied with this and it also sports a 5.2-inch FHD display coupled with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity. The handset is available in China in two variants – 4GB and 6GB of RAM. Strikingly, it also the first time that any smartphone from the Finnish company is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. Apart from this, the device also carries a rear-mounted 16-megapixel camera sensor and a selfie 5-megapixel camera sensor with a battery support of 3,000mAh.
