Sony is in news these days as it is expected to make a major change in the design of its upcoming phones. Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ2 Premium which will come with bezel-less design and a dual rear camera setup. However, a recent report has claimed that it will be offering same old design in its low-range and mid-range smartphones.
Popular tipster Evan Blass has tweeted a photo which he claims are Sony’s low-range and mid-range offering – Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2. The image shows that the there is be very slight or almost no change in the design of the these. The phones are expected to debut either at CES or MWC this year.
Sony Xperia XA2 Specifications
The Sony Xperia XA2 is the third iteration by the company inn the XA series. The specifications of the phone were earlier leaked through GFXBench listings. The phones will feature a 5.2-inch Full Hd display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while the Xperia XA2 Ultra will come with a 6-inch display.
Apart from the display, other specifications of both the phones will remain the same. It is speculated to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 2.2GHz. Both the phones will come in two memory variants – 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage.
In terms of optics, the Xperia XA2 will sport a 21MP camera sensor on the rear which is said to be capable of recording 4K-resolution videos. There is also be a 7MP camera sensor on the front for selfies. The rear camera on the ‘Ultra’ model of the phone will remain same while it will house a 15MP sensor front selfie shooter. The devices will run on Android Oreo out of the box.
Sony Xperia L2 Specifications
The phone is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is expected to run on Android Nougat out of the box. No other specifications of this phone have been leaked yet. We will have to wait for some more time for further leaks about this phone.
Sony will be bringing the bezel-less design to its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ2. The device will pack the rear dual camera setup and SD 845 SoC as well and will run on Android Oreo out of the box.
