The Chinese manufacturer, Meizu has recently launched two new smartphones to further expand its lineup. Yes, Meizu Pro 7 and Meizu Pro 7 Plus launched in the Chinese market at a price tag of CNY 2,880 (Rs 27,400 approx) and CNY 3,580 (Rs 34,100 approx) respectively. The key highlight of the newly launched smartphones is their unique second AMOLED display at the back. Inspired by the LG V20, Meizu has also tried its hands on putting a secondary display and it looks quite appealing.
The second screen is dedicated towards displaying time, notifications, weather, and also act as a screen to view image before clicking it through the rear camera setup. The slim metallic body of both the smartphone are not just eye-catchy, it also grants premium phone feel which might help the comapny in gaining some good sales figure.
Meizu Pro 7 Specifications
The Meizu Pro 7 runs on Flyme OS 6 which is based on the Android 7.0 Nougat and supports dual-SIM cards. It boast a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display at the front and a 1.9-inch with 240 x 536 pixels Super AMOLED display with 307 ppi pixel density. Powering the phone is a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor with Mali-T880 GPU, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
There is another variant which is powered by a 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core 10nm processor with Power VR 7XTP-MP4 GPU, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For imaging, the Meizu Pro 7 features a dual camera setup which is a combination of 12-megapixel dual sensors with f.2,0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash support. Whereas, at the front, a 16-megapixel camera takes care of your selfies. Fueling the phone is a 3000 mAh battery which offers mCharge fast charging support. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS. The phone weighs 170 grams and measure 147.62 x 70.72 x 7.3 mm.
Meizu Pro 7 Plus Specifications
The elder sibling features a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels and a similar secondary display similar to the Pro 7. Powering this bigger variant is a 2.6GHz MediaTek Helio X30 10nm deca-core processor with PowerVR 7XTP- MP4 GPU and 6GB RAM. The storage options include 64GB and 128GB and is fueled by a 3500mAh battery with mCharge 4.0 support. The connectivity options and camera specification are similar to Pro 7 and the phone measure 170 grams with dimensions reading 157.34 x 77.24 x 7.3 mm
Pricing And Availability
Both these phones will be available in the Chinese market from August 5. The Pro 7 is available in two variants – Helio P25 SoC with 64GB at CNY 2,880 (Rs 27,400 approximately) and Helio X30 SoC with 128GB storage at CNY 3,880 (Rs 32,200). Considering the Pro 7 Plus, it is also available in two variants – 6GB RAM at CNY 3,580 (Rs 34,100 approximately) and 128GB at CNY 4,080 (Rs 38,880 approximately).
The Meizu Pro 7 will be available in Space Black, Matte Black, Amber Gold and Crystal Silver color options while the Meizu Pro 7 Plus will be available in Matte Black or Space Black.
There is no news about its launch in the Indian market but, we hope that lands on the Indian soil soon. If launched in the Indian market, it will be directly locking its horns against OnePlus 3T and some other high-end phones by big guns.
