HMD Global is not going to miss the golden opportunity of releasing its flagship devices at the MWC, 2018 event that will be held in Barcelona, Spain. Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer of the Finnish company has made it crystal clear by tweeting that expect MWC, 2018 “to be awesome ”. The buzz in the rumor mill backed by this tweet is that the HMD Global might launch Nokia 9 and Nokia 1 Android Go smartphone at MWC, 2018 alongside the Nokia 4, Nokia 7 (only released in China), and Nokia 8 (2018). There is also one Nokia 3310 4G variant that has made way to TENNA certification list.
Nokia 9 Specifications
The handset Nokia 9 is believed to be carrying a 3,250mAh battery with dual selfie cameras. The device might also be accompanied by 12MP and 13MP dual rear camera setup. According to the rumor, the device will be having 128GB of internal memory and might sport a 5.5-inch OLED display. Furthermore, it will also run Android 8.0 Oreo and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The chipset might dishearten the users, as Samsung will release the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus at the MWC, 2018 event powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC. Nonetheless, for the selfie lovers, it seems to be promising if it carries dual selfie cameras with FHD support and autofocus as rumored. The handset is also expected to be carrying an edge-to-edge very narrow bezels.
Nokia 1 Android Go Specifications
The device Nokia 1 Android Go might carry an unknown sized HD 720p display with 1GB of RAM and 16GB default storage. It is also believed that Nokia 1 Android Go will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor and will run a lighter version of Oreo Operating System, Android Go. Both the devices seem to be promising in their respective range and if unveiled in Barcelona at MWC, 2018, then can give tough challenge to other mobile tech giants such as Xiaomi and Sony.
