Samsung is expected to announce its next year’s flagship devices, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ earlier than we expect, as per rumors. Both the phone are expected to make their first public appearance at Consumer Electronics Show scheduled to commence in January in Las Vegas.

Not much information has been revealed about the specifications and features of both the devices, but a new tip from VentureBeat suggests that the phone may be announced during the Consumer Electronics Show in January next year. The South-Korean giant is most probably expected to hold the official launch event in March, the same time it launched the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ this year.

Galaxy S9 Plus

Both the upcoming phones, similar to present year’s flagship devices will be identical in appearance and performance. The plus variant will just be larger in screen size as compared to the standard variant.

Famous tipster Evan Blass via Venturebeat reported that both Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will come as a more iterative update of the existing Galaxy S8 and S8+. The report further reveals that the phones with model numbers SM-G960 and SM-G965 monikered as the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will come with a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch curved edge Super AMOLED Infinity display. The devices are speculated to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 845 made by 10-nanometer fabrication techniques.

The bigger variant, S9+ will not only feature bigger screen but also more RAM and a second rear camera. However, there are other rumours floating on the internet that Samsung’s both the flagship devices for next year will don a dual rear camera setup. Both the devices are further speculated to offer 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card. Also, both the devices are finally expected to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack as of now. The fingerprint havoc of this year is said to be improved and are expected to be placed differently.
